If you live in Puyallup then you know just how great our downtown farmers market really is. It’s a great time for the community to come together and gather all kinds of goodies. I personally love all the fresh fruit and organic vegetables. However, they have flowers, crafts, and smoked fish/meats as well. You’ll also see non profits and some kind of entertainment happening. Booths are everywhere. Their hanging baskets are pretty amazing! The farmers market downtown is a 30+ year tradition in the City of Puyallup.
A couple years ago they build a spray park and kids are really enjoying that right now. If not, there is a big toy and playground.
This is fun attraction downtown you certainly don’t want to miss. While you’re there grab a hamburger or some corn on the cob. They usually have a pretty good selection of food vendors.
Puyallup’s farmers market runs this Saturday starting at 9am and ends at 9pm. It’s in Pioneer Park right in front of the public library. While you’re there enjoy some music and take a look at the Ezra Meeker’s statue. The vendors also spread inside the Pioneer Park Pavilion. Don’t forget the dog! I would say this is definitely the best farmers market in the sound end.
2016 season begins in April and runs through mid October. Saturdays from 9 am until 2 pm at Pioneer Park and Pavilion.
Next month is the super sized farmers marketing – Meeker Days. We’ll be talking about that a lot on Puyallup.com.
I can’t wait – we have some great events coming soon.
