The Puyallup Activity Center is hosting a St. Valentine’s Day Party for the seniors in the city. This fun party starts at 11:00 am on Friday, February 10th at the Pioneer Park Pavilion. The Activity Center is excited to present “The Fun Singers” who will be performing along with the Sa’Diyah Belly Dancers for a fun filled hour of entertainment for the seniors. Entertainment is from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm with a lunch from 12:00 pm until 12:30 pm. There will be a raffle drawing at 12:30 pm. Remember to show your festive Valentine’s spirit by wearing Red, Pink or White! Also, please bring some canned food or a monetary donation to donate to the Puyallup Food Bank.
The South Hill Mall wants to help you save some money on a Valentine’s Day dinner. When you spend $75 at South Hill Mall between 2/1/17-2/14/17, bring your receipts to Customer Service at the mall and get $10 off at The Olive Garden and Famous Dave’s. Both restaurants would be a perfect place for a Valentine’s Day date. The vouchers are only valid at South Hill Mall locations ONLY. Receipts must also reflect same day sales. Online purchases are not eligible. Please know that you can only get one voucher pack per customer, per day.
Looking for a fun Valentine’s day event for your little ones? On February 14th at 10:00 am, the Puyallup Public Library is partnering with Children’s Museum Tacoma to bring Puyallup families the fun-filled event “Play to Learn”. This free program is designed to make learning fun for children. Play to Learn is for parents, grandparents, neighbors, family, and friends who nurture children ages six and under. The curriculum will include individual play, fun group activities, songs, and a whole group circle time for children and adults to enjoy together. Come visit the Puyallup Library on Valentine’s Day for a wonderful time for the whole family.
The Meeker Mansion hosts a delightful tea service and their Valentine’s Day tea service is a fun and historical way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Come enjoy some cucumber sandwiches, scones, tarts, lemon bread, pumpkin bread, fruit of the season, and tea served in English Bone China cups and a tour of the mansion. Step back in time and learn about the history of the city of Puyallup. History buffs and old-fashioned romantics will love this traditional event. Reservations are required for the Tea and the cost is $12 per person. Tea time is at 1:30 pm. Make sure to reserve your spot in advance.
Valentine’s Day is a celebration not only for the love for your family, husband or loved ones but it can also be a celebration of your love for your puppy. On February 11th from noon until 3:00 pm, the PetSmart in Puyallup is hosting the Puppy Love event for all those pet lovers and their puppies. Show your new furry friend love by learning the five secrets to puppy love and happiness through a KONG demonstration and get free GREENIES samples. There is a coupon giveaway along with an opportunity to create your own Valentine’s Day paw print keepsake, while supplies last.

For the avid runners out there, The Valentine’s Day 5k Run on Ruston Way in Tacoma is a very athletic way to celebrate the holiday. This is a down and back run along Ruston Way, beginning at the park near the Point Ruston sprayground. The race, on Saturday, February 11th at 8:00 am, will also feature a kids dash that is a one-mile dash for the children. Check in for the race starts at 7:00 am. For the 5k the cost to register will be $20 until February 5th, then $25 from February 6-9th and $30 on the day of the race. For the Kids Dash, the cost to run is $10 through February 5th, $15 from February 6th-9th and then $20 on the day of the race.
