Everyone needs a fun night out on the town. The great thing about Puyallup is that it’s located right in the middle between Tacoma and Seattle. You can find plenty of nightlife fun in Puyallup, however. Bars have steadily increased around the city. Both in the Puyallup Valley and South Hill areas. Here are a few to check out.
Scotty’s Grub & Pub
A fairly new place but has live music just about every Friday and Saturday night.
The Loose Wheel
If you’re looking for big menu of food and a night of karaoke then you should visit them. On Saturdays, they have an amazing steak for $13 bucks. Can’t beat it.
Big Whiskey Saloon
One of the newest bars in town is the Big Whisky Saloon. It’s a country bar in Puyallup on River Road. If you want to get your country on – then this is the place to be. I believe the cover is $5.
Concerts in the Park
July & August in Puyallup.
Each year a variety of bands play in the park (Pioneer Park). The crowd can be quite large and it’s just a fun time to relax in the sun, meet your neighbors, and enjoy the music. Spike & The Impalers is the big show this year (2015). They also have a family concert series at Bradley Park. Both are free events. The full live band schedule is Puyallup concerts in the park.
Emerald Queen Casino
The Queen features big acts and celebrities throughout the year. On the weekends, they have a nightclub which features a variety of bands. It’s free. I would recommend going when Nite Crew is playing.
The Swiss (Tacoma)
Located in Tacoma, The Swiss is a popular location for a variety of bands including the Kry Boys and Spazmatics. The cover fee is about $8 dollars.
E9 (Tacoma)
Great location in Tacoma for karaoke. They typically have the biggest crowd from what I have seen when it comes to karaoke. It’s typically a younger college crowd, however. It’s free.
