America’s Largest Antique and Collectible Show is taking place at the Washington State Fair Event Center in Puyallup this weekend. Are there antiques or collectibles around your house that you think might be worth something? Do you own a family heirloom that has been passed down generation to generation that you would like to get appraised? You can get answers to these questions at this show. This event is taking place on Saturday, 9am-6pm and Sunday, 10am-5pm in the ShowPlex at the Washington State Fair Events Center. Enter at the Blue Gate. Admission is $6 for adults (good for both days), kids ages 12-17 $3, and kids under 12 are free. Items on display will be from the 1880s to the 1970s. Bring your family treasures and garage sale finds for a verbal market evaluation by experts. Five ISA appraisers will provide information and value for $7 per (available during both days of the show). The show will host 400 booths.
If you spend your time watching American Pickers on the History Channel, this is the event for you. Do you like to see the progression of society and how we get from point A to B in our culture? This weekend will give you a peek into how we progressed from the post industrial revolution era to where we are today. You might even hear yourself saying, “back when I was your age…’.
For an inexpensive weekend of fun and learning, this event is sure to fit the bill if you’re curious about life in the past. Who knows, someday when your grandchildren are at an antique show, they might be teaching their kids about the iPhone. Take a trip down memory lane and enjoy the antiques and collectibles that reveal how life used to be.
