We hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of food, family, and fun! With Thanksgiving over, we are now full speed ahead into the Christmas season. This week we transition into December! Christmas songs are playing on the radio station, cars are driving with trees strapped to the top, houses are glowing with lights at night, and Christmas feels like it’s arrived. This is a great time when the Puyallup community comes together. There are many opportunities to give back, get involved, and celebrate the Christmas spirit.

Giving Back
This week through December 11th check out the giving tree at the Puyallup Activity Center. Take a tag off the tree and make someone’s Christmas extra special this year. The Giving Tree runs through December 11, 2016. Bring the gift (unwrapped) and tag back to the Recreation Center to have it wrapped and delivered.
Also keep an eye out for food collections at local grocery stores. They are always looking for donations around this time of year. Those who are less fortunate and don’t have the extra money to spend will be thankful for your donation. With so much abundance around this time of year, it is always important to keep a healthy perspective and help others where you can.The South Hill Mall has a whole section devoted to giving back on their website. Click here to see where and when these are.
