WA State Fair Events
Seattle-Tacoma Pet Con
Pet Expos is at the Washington State Fair this Weekend!
Amazing Pet Expos is based in St. Louis, Missouri, and boasts a staff of passionate animal lovers. On any given day, you’ll find us hard at work with our furry assistants — who usually aren’t quite as helpful as they think.
With a staff full of animal lovers, there is always an abundance of wet noses and wagging tails at work. This isn’t just another show to our staff; it is the realization of a dream to make a difference in communities across the country.
Our mission is to bring an annual convention to your community, inviting you and your family — including the furry, scaly, and feathered members — to explore the services available to you, participate in fantastic activities and contests, support local animal causes, and meet critters who need their forever homes. Come Celebrate Bees at the Puyallup Farmers Market
In 2016, Puyallup became the second city in the state of Washington to receive an official “Bee City” designation from Bee City USA, a not-for-profit organization committed to developing and maintaining sustainable habitats for pollinators such as native bees and honeybees.
The purpose of becoming a Bee City is to support and encourage bee-friendly habitat creation and enhancement on both public and private land. As part of our Bee City status, we’ll celebrate National Pollinators Week on Saturday, June 24th at the Puyallup Farmers Market.
Come see us between 9:00 and 2:00. We’ll invite folks to put their hand in the honey jar and pull out a pollinator trivia question, with the chance to win the prize of a seed packet or a handcrafted bee pin that you can wear to show your support for these hard-working and indispensable creatures. We’ll also display pollinator-friendly plants you can add to your yard and share instructions on how to make your own mason bee house for your backyard.
For more information, call 253-864-4184.
The Puyallup Farmer’s Market is a popular community event. With fresh produce, flowers, yummy bakery treats, and a plethora of different vendors, the market is a great place to spend a Saturday morning or afternoon. Support your local small business and community members. The market is a very family friendly event (bring your furry friends along too, dogs love the market!) The market is on Saturday from 9am-2pm.
